I've seen more criticism on the left of politicians getting anything wrong (like a misjudged tweet eight years ago) than years of hard work on good causes. The right seem happy to ignore "mistakes" no matter how big and amplify any small achievements, even if the work was done by their predecessors

Uh yeah, that doesn’t make them more ethical, just productive. Also those air quotes are not necessary. The neocons and their bootlickers have made plenty of actual mistakes costing human lives.
