This should extend (no pun) to all this retractable leash bs as well I used to use a 20 ft line to exercise my horse, it is NOT a device for keeping a dog under heel

Yes. Retractable leashes (like super long leashes) may have a place in very specific situations that are training-related. They are not for walks or general use.
