Nothing wrong with having the extra layer of separation, but DDG sources its results from Bing (as do most minor search engines). There's no real escape from the Google/Microsoft duopoly right now.

Oh yeah, I'm aware of that ... and it's mostly Bing because google is actually a really bad monopolistic company and sues everyone trying to grab their search results. But at least they don't get any ad money, so that's a plus.
