It’s really unclear to me, and I can’t find any evidence that people calling for it - people who are smart and who can find this out, if they bothered to care - even realize it could be an issue.

TL;DR, this is a favorite ploy Ohio GOP use against the opposition; they will never drop it. The 'fix' is for this 2024 presidential election, not future elections. As it relates to OH's 18 electoral points, they are the GOP's in all but name.
