And his appearances at rallies and in other settings looks VERY different from the mess he was at the debate. It’s so weird to me that one bad debate performance has led to this degree of elite panic.

The debate WAS TO BE proof of concept: that he was fit to run, and should have YOUR vote to each of the 51m attending. Instead, we found out, eventually, that "we beat Medicare."

I don’t know that it’s that weird for a Democrat, though. Howard Dean was destroyed for a dumb scream. This same doesn’t apply to fascists of course, they can do whatever.

That's true, but I'd argue that a whole lot more visibility is what it would take to quell this panic, and the fact that the White House hasn't been able to provide that, that the "blitz" now under discussion consists of two rallies and a single sit down interview, does not inspire confidence.

Obama turned in a 'bad' debate performance. Biden's was alarming, and did the one thing that should never happen - it proved a perceived negative in front of millions of viewers. Now there's the drip drip of foreign leaders and others confirming that it's at least a semi-regular occurrence.

It's being used as a disinformation campaign to distract everyone from the Supreme Court and further erode our faith in democratic institutions
