I think the first thing I was taught in my first marketing class was that Emerson's dictum that the world would beat a path to your door to get your better mousetrap was wrong - - you'd need to >market<.

The lucky ones have a newsletter. So many good journalists have lost their jobs with journalism jobs drying up fast and now even the non profit coms jobs that many turn to are gone too.
