love that we've ceded control of our primary voice networks because we're too corrupt to pass and enforce rules that don't upset telemarketers and debt collectors
our regulators have been consistently boxed in on scam and robocall enforcement in part because the traditional marketing and debt collection industries don't want to be inconvenienced in their quest to harass consumers who don't want their products and people they know can't pay their bills
Side note: And yet polls still rely on phone calls. When the newspapers are telling people not to answer their phones, I think it's time to pack it in.
Wouldn’t debt collectors at least want to cut down on the scam calls? That way people would actually answer the phone again and potentially have to pay their debts?
