The weekend before Apple announced a slew of new genAI features, the technology was used to create yet another widely-viewed nonconsensual sexually-explicit deepfake of a woman. This time it was Megan Thee Stallion after she hit a touring record for a female rapper.

Megan has faced relentless abuse and harassment ever since she was shot by Tory Lanez. He’s in prison, but the abuse hasn’t stopped. This is another escalation of misogynoir via technology, punishing a victim who dares to succeed in using her voice.

For every famous woman who comes forward about this kind of thing there are hundreds of women who don't have the spotlight. I saw an article in a local paper a few months ago about girls at schools finding boys made fake porn of them. That's only going to get worse.
