I mean, could you imagine if any sitting politician's spouse was flying a Chinese flag? Or a Black Lives Matter" flag? Or kneeling during the national anthem instead of standing? But flying it upside down in support of an (ongoing) insurrection still being actively prosecuted is no biggie.
