1/3rd of the elderly are experiencing poverty, most are on fixed incomes, and a good many of these 55+ communities are subsidized and also house disabled folks of every age

but do these communities truly need an age barrier? And I’m mostly speaking about the ones that aren’t focused on poor elderly people - there’s lots that are very much pay to play.

The longest wait for the elderly I used to do home care for was 7 months. I've been on the list for 18 years
