I think how you access it does depend on where you physically were when you created the account, but I made the Eurosport and hbo accounts at different times over the last 7 years and could have been anywhere. No indication in their UI of where they think my account home is :/

The ES app is disappearing here in Spain after TDF and being replaced by Max (a merger of HBO, Discovery and Eurosport). I imagine this will be part of a global rollout.
