The idea that the Legion had a long history appealed to me, too, but I never felt I needed to read the older stories. I read them as I came across them, but aside from trying to find the Cockrum issues I didn't actively seek them out. But the new stories told me what I needed to know.

Definitely different strokes there! I loved seeking out the old stories, discovering the minutiae. It was fun. It’s what set the Legion apart for me. But that’s how my mind works. And it’s definitely not for everyone. Yeah, I did hear a lot of “it’s too complicated, too much backstory,”
