that's a wild analogy. the stuff reporting relies deeply on innuendo as well as interviews with anti-china hawks without disclosure. There is almost *zero* nuance in their reporting. There are certainly arguments to be made about great power politics, but they've done those a disservice.

Maybe the piece has flaws, but the thread you directed me to was pretty emphatically calling it sinophobic. Yes, all the great powers need to be interrogated, especially the US, but you can't ignore what is in front of your own eyes.
