In an April speech promoting the software, he [Alberto Carvalho, the district’s superintendent] promised it would “democratize” and “transform education.” In response to skeptics of A.I., he asked, “Why not allow this edutainment approach to capture & captivate their attention, be the motivator?” 🙃

...hate to sound like an old foggy, but the problem with spending ed $$$ on tech (not buildings, AC, free lunches, teacher salaries) is tech goes stale FAST. Most books from 1995 are just as functional. Most software from 1995 is unsupported trash. Ditto a lot of hardware.
