He kept putting off paying Cohen. When he finally got around to it, he was President. So the argument is that the actual crime was committed from the Oval Office, so he's immune.

Oh, for fuck's sake. The payments weren't made in his capacity as president. They were made by his corporation. It can't be a presidential act if it was done under corporate seal rather than presidential color of authority. How can anyone seriously entertain this bullshit?
