also worth noting that these nonelected grand wizards are appointed by an office that is not decided by the popular vote, and approved by a chamber where the population of Wyoming has the same amount of votes as the population of California. It remains the least representative of our institutions

Absolutely. There is sooo much rot in the institutions after years of lib and conservative power, so many obstructions for people to find representation, and so little will from people currently benefiting from it to change anything about how the system works. But, they aren't immortal. Stay hopeful
