Why are young men more misogynistic than their grandfathers? Part of it is that their grandfathers were promised (and received) a servant for life in the form of a wife. Even the mediocre and truly awful men. Now that women have the power to remain single, men are aggrieved.

There are these people who spent a lot of time raising these men. They're called mothers. Don't want to get bricks thrown at me, but I have two sons who are wonderful men. They always had a working mom & learned independence. They didn't learn women are inferior/subservient. Plus I have a great DIL.
