I was at my local library the other week because I needed a place to read while my house was cleaned. And I thought, “If you told a lot of people everything the library has and you told them it cost $30 a month to use it, they’d think it was a great deal.”

Mine has 3d printers, laser cutters, recording equipment, and even power tools you can rent. If you think libraries have no value you probably should spend more time in a library.

For the amount I read alone, it would be a great deal. Plus all the other stuff!

You can read and relax there. You can work on their computers and use the internet. You can use conference rooms. You can attend classes. You can get free help with all kinds of things. You can borrow all the books (paper and e- and audio) and DVDs you want. You can use their printer.

Thanks to my local library, I have been able to read over 150 books a year for two years running, AND we've saved at least $150 on video games because my kids play about 10 minutes of a game and then lose interest. And to be honest, I DON'T feel like I use the library that much bc I borrow eBooks.
