Is there even a way to make that happen? Like ballots are set for most states - wouldn't she have to be a write-in? I don't understand the logistics of how it would work or if it could work.

Oh, for sure. Ballots just choose delegates and delegates can be released in convention rules. Then you've got a bunch of Biden delegates deciding who the next nominee is either at the convention or through a social process beforehand where a consensus develops. Either could get ugly.
