Yeah, we don't want to clutter the thread with all the minutiae of regional differences for foods and drink.😂 But as a naturalized American, the idea of asking for orange squash, to drink, is very amusing.

Heh. The reason I bring up ‘sauce’ is that Edinburgh chip shops have a condiment called “Salt’n’Sauce”, which is a weird brown sauce typically used instead of vinegar. It is, shall we say, an acquired taste. I’ve lived in the Edinburgh area for over a decade. I shall never acquire the taste.
