Look I'm not really a "doomer" so much as I don't see any way at all that our social tensions get resolved without radical change, and also that the right currently have the only political machine with a radical vision and will, and also that this country is kinda full of guns, so

The thing is that rhetoric around the election can't engage with the larger problem. This doesn't all just go away if Biden or any other Dem wins. Project 2025 becomes instantly updated to 2029 and things continue to slowly get worse in red states particularly. The tensions just intensify
