I'd go so far as to say that we should stop calling anything that isn't an actual debate "debate."

If it doesn't have a format like so (en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?...), it's just people yelling at each other.

As former high school debate kid I endorse this. As I’m sure would my (life, not debate) partner, who I know is tired of hearing me rant about it.
