I suspect he's right because it's a 2 way street and we aren't even going to be considered until we are considerably more stable - we can't play hokey cokey with membership. Plus this time we won't get any concessions and despite polling are people going to vote for the € etc.

This is why I reluctantly went from remain to stay out. We have things to sort out beyond a desire to rejoin. Farage needs to become a national joke. But given how UKIP performed in the Senedd, maybe a single term of a Reform clown show in Westminster will be enough to lead to significant change.
