I have a distinct memory of going to a chocolate shop with my very dark skinned partner during a layover in Amsterdam and having the shop owner be polite to me and just completely freeze my partner out. I was just like… oh so that’s European racism, okay.

yup! it's so annoying. Europeans will just cut me in line as if I'm invisible in a way USians don't. it's BANANAS. especially when they're racist to me in *Africa*
