Ironically I think if Biden dropped out and Harris ran, she’d get a lot of leftist votes that would normally never vote for a cop. But I get it; it feels right to pat the Dems on the back if they do literally ANYTHING to address the problems of the day. Hell I’d consider it.

i'm in a blue state so my vote is gonna be symbolic anyway, but if they switched out for harris (who i hate) i would probably vote for her under exactly this reasoning. it'd at least demonstrate that they're TRYING to win.

I think a lot of the people who want Biden to drop out are imagining they get someone who will do UBI or Medicare for All and will not be very likely to actually change their position if the policy position is the same or arguably worse (since Harris is less labor law oriented)
