I went looking for updates on the whole Tesla Semi project yesterday just because I realized I hadn’t heard much about it since it kinda soft launched. Seems like any sort of big deployment absolutely requires a large dedicated charger buildout.

The whole thing was a fake product from the beginning, there's a maximum allowed weight for semi trucks and the battery weight required for the thing would take up so much of the budget that you couldn't haul anything meaningful.
