If you do the math, UBI and universal health care give you money savings you can use for public transit and other stuff, I would think. They're cheaper than the current system. Tax the corporations instead of them paying for healthcare directly. This math is complicated but not impossible.

Corporations won't like it because people will refuse some of the more heinous jobs because they don't need them to live (see: health care)
