100%. When I taught two courses at a well-rated community technical college (Intro to Programming & Systems Design) I earned a whopping $4k for a semester of work. Note that’s not $4k per course, that’s my sum total for the entire semester. It’s no wonder so few adjuncts stayed

The students were awesome, though. Hands down the best part of the experience. They weren’t there as an excuse to party, they were there because they cared and wanted to learn. Most had tried “the real world” and were here now to make their lives better. Those students deserve the world
