TBF there are quite a lot of issues on which Starmer's positions have been… distinctly more centre-right than centre-left, or actually left like Labour were for a few years. It's good to have adults in charge again, but I'm not thrilled about the government in prospect in absolute terms.

We 🇬🇧 seem to have moved from being a laughing stock to becoming credible again. Given the populist options occurring elsewhere in the 🌍 this is quite a turnaround. 🙏 that we have free and fair 🗳️ here. It's a massive improvement, if an imperfect step in the right direction.
