I think it really depends on the baseline the reader is coming from. Even if someone would be improved by stuff like this, I don’t think it really leaves them in a good place.

I never recommended him! Also it depends on when he was writing. He grew and evolved like everyone did from the 80s and 90s. I looked into some of his stuff from the 2000s because it was very popular in my community (dance) at the time.
