Most of the media is owned by Republicans who either support Trump or who want tax cuts from him. The media aren’t going to be transparent about that. Some of their journalists who hate this dynamic might though. @brianstelter.bsky.social @npr.org @postopinions.bsky.social @chrislhayes.bsky.social

This isn’t to say that news outlets forgo agency when publishing wire copy — they have full reign to rewrite headlines and body text. But most outlets don’t do it because it requires 60 seconds of work and the layout editors are so zonked and jaded they only change words to fit column width
