Seriously, "what did he mean by these flags" is up there with "perhaps 'Unified Reich' referred to the First or Second Reich, not the Third." No, it didn't, and pretending otherwise doesn't make you fair or reasonable or moderate, it makes you a sycophant and an enabler.
