This is absolutely true. I adored the original Kushiel trilogy by Jacqueline Carey so much, that I foisted it off to everyone I knew who was even remotely a reader. ...And it's still my first recommendation anytime anyone asks.

Speaking of which, if you like saucy, sexy political intrigue with a touch of "chosen by the gods (but that's not always a pleasant/good thing)" mixed with alternate historical fiction... Run to read it, if you haven't!!!
