Inevitably someone in Seattle will ask where my accent is from, I'll say Mississippi, and then they'll go "Oh, bet you're relieved to be out of there!" and I'll go no, it was actually nicer being trans there, and then they get indignant about it or argue. Why. You're not even trans.

I genuinely miss people just telling me directly that they don't like me, that's way better than the PNW where if two people dislike each other they'll pretend like they're friends. You don't have to do that. You can just not hang out with someone, it's not that serious.
