And this is why advice that AI can help students draft essays etc is so bad - using it for the planning takes out the thinking-things-through part of the equation that yes, is hard and challenging but it’s what gives birth to new ideas!

Remember this vividly when I wrote a comic. Re-read a script, realized it needed fixing, did a ton of writing, re-writing and editing. Not only did it come out better, but I don't think I could have ended the story without those additions.
