yeah I mean, if we are being honest, the idea that whether someone is a "star" or not is important is pretty much a made up thing relative to performance in office

Familiarity, then? Pretty lazy vetting system. But, it gave us nepo politicians who have a name from when memories are gauzy. Since Bush v Gore, the clean up years there were days when I didn’t hear the presidents name or randos’ religious stupidity. O is a star. Competence is dull. More pls!
