You may ask “Why would #Venezuela invade #Guyana for oil? Don’t they have plenty?”

Venezuelan oil is “heavy”, like asphalt, with lots of sulfur (“sour”). Technically challenging for their degraded infrastructure.

Guyana’s, in contrast, is light and sweet. Easier to bring to market.
