It looks sort of persimmon shaped, but Wakayama Prefecture ranks first in the production of oranges in Japan, so that’s what they went with.

Yeah, I knew they grew other fruits but man, they were really pushing the persimmon a few years back when I visited. I now just associate Wakayama prefecture with persimmons more than any other fruit.
