The annoying thing about the Neil Gaiman stuff: It can be a transphobic political hit job and still be true. Tabloids are known for holding back true stories to maximally hit people who step out of their political line. There's no happy easy line to say about that. It's just grim.

I guess the biggest lesson here is don't let right wingers build trust off this even if it's true. If they'd been on the same political side, they probably would have helped cover up what they revealed.
