Criticism and Self criticism/struggle sessions are one of those powerful and useful ideas that keeps coming up—having a no rank social forum to hash things out and fix stuff—and which keeps running into the problem of power structures and cliques.

You see it in communism, synanon, businesses, the military, friend groups on bluesky...if someone or a group doesn't actually want to deal with their shit, it turns into less of a mutual thing and more of a beat down, a destruction of trust, privileging cliques and abusiveness over any goal.
