A lot of neighborhoods in America have that one strip mall that is mysteriously in the middle of a bunch of residential zoning where nothing else is, right? Turns out that's because it used to be land a church owned and got rezoned, then sold.

I recently learned that the Jehovah's Witness leadership uses their members as volunteer labor to build churches, and then later sells off those churches and the land they're on to other Christian denominations at a profit Scam-ception

I still don't understand how Long John Silvers is in business I do not know anyone who has ever eaten in one. Perhaps it is running church services. 🤔
