I have plenty of near misses with roos, but I've never had an accident of any kind. Defensive driving. Expect it to happen. Just brake straight and don't swerve.

I drive a two tonne vehicle with a 200 litre long range fuel tank and no modern brakes. I also have 35” mud tyres. I won’t be stopping believe me. Brakes are pointless. Like I said there’s absolutely nothing you can do when they come out at the very last second. There’s no time to react.
