The market for big personal coupes that are more understated than say a Bentley or Mercedes just can't be that big. Bummer about the drive, but everything about this car always seemed a bit rushed so I'm not that surprised.

Price has to be a bit of a factor. The 1 was £140k brand new here, which was similar to an NSX at the time, or £25k more than an i8. Nice-looking though the 1 is, I'd take either of those in a flash over it. Or a used Conti GT and have 2-3x the cylinder count...
