A lot of their early UK ads looked like they were cobbled together by the Club Nintendo, err, team? Guy? I think it was just one guy. You'd know better than me.

I think they were original Nintendo Power ads, hence the US "playing with power" tagline, despite that not really being a marketing focus in Europe. They should have localized them.
