…what fucking taboo about eating goats. I am a white American and I have never heard of this taboo. like, it’s not a common meat here, but I’ve never encountered it being *taboo* beyond, like, fucking vegans who consider all meat taboo.
They seem to be equating 'people might think it's kind of unusual' with 'actual taboo'.
(I'd also put a lot of organ meats in the first category too, but I know the circle of white people I know is atypical of Average White American)

Goat isn't common because it's not subsidized like beef, I have never heard a meat eater object to goat.
the people in the comments on the original post comparing it to the small game meat taboos and pig offal that are classist/racist shit are off their fucking rockers. like, maybe there are enclaves of white people that up their own asses in the States, but it’s not *common*
