Gambling is causing an occupational health and safety crisis for athletic workers and the leagues they work for and sports media complex are entirely responsible because, as always, in capitalism value comes first and the worker might as well be dead at the end of the day.

That said, if you can't bet on it people don't watch it.

One of the things I loved about the US vs Ireland was no sports gambling; hated seeing betting shops and knowing what it was like ever since I was little. Astonishing how the US is just diving in head first after years of seemingly no gambling on sports at all.

I think that gambling in sports is terrible, but one step in the right direction would be for it to be legally limited to moneylines. You can only bet if a team wins or loses. No spreads, no props
