Not that I've noticed, and that would seem to go against their new Screennames/Handles thing, but I don't want to say "no" when I don't yet know that for sure, so let me look into it.

not any more. I had the same reservation because it did that to me way back when, but I’ve come back to it and have been adding people manually and individually :)

I don't know if you have to do anything special, but you can at least turn it off. I have a bunch of people I want to ignore in my contacts, I don't want them reminded I exist.
