Home and auto insurance premiums have been rising at double-digit rates. That's prompting even the most loyal insurance customers to shop around for better deals.

Maybe it's all that information they (auto insurance companies) are getting from all the monitors/trackers you have in your car.

My car insurance has doubled in the last two years even though I haven't had any claims. I thought maybe they got someone else's claim mixed up with my account by mistake but no, it's just like that for everyone right now. 😬

Best thing to do is just put a sovereign citizen plate on your car and stop paying for anything. Cops will be like "Woah, don't fuck with this guy. He's hardcore."

Everyone’s auto insurance here in the us is too low. Lots of people are shopping around for the best rates and are not able to cover soaring auto replacement costs and medical costs. Let alone litigation.

If you're able, don't forget to apply as a new customer to your current insurance too. I did that with mine and got a lower rate. I bought the new policy and cancelled the old one - same coverage. They'll take advantage of your loyalty because it's profitable to do so.

I recently switched house/auto because the rates at the company I had been with for over 20 years just kept jumping. Switching saved me over 50%, realized I have no idea how they decide premiums. Old company had no good explanation for the increases, new company no explanation why they were lower.
