My mom said "it was a debate between a crazy person and someone with dementia". We buried my dad in January after a 5 year battle with dementia. I don't think more tv will help that, it's not just about what's said, it's about the nonverbal cues and the look in a person's eyes.

So sorry about your dad. We lost my dad in February of last year. While he didn’t have dementia, he did have some similar symptoms and that was absolutely gutting. So sorry for what you had to go through.

i really wonder what this split here is between those of us who have dealt with this issue in several close family members. usually I assume it's most of us, but that's probably not accurate.
