Out of curiosity has there been any recent polling on how Kamala ( or any of the other proposed candidates) would do against trump?

I found one pollster (McLaughlin and Associates) that's consistently been testing both Biden versus Trump and Harris versus Trump. Their last poll (a couple of weeks ago) had Trump ahead of Biden 46-44, and Trump ahead of Harris 47-42.

Back in November 2023, “generic democrat” beat Trump with a healthy margin of 8 points. After last night, that might still be the case.
